Pediatric Physical Therapy Services

Have you ever wondered…

  • Why does my baby prefer to only look one direction?
  • When should I be concerned that my child isn’t crawling or walking?
  • Why does my child have difficulty riding a bike, throwing a ball, or catching objects?
  • Is it a problem that my child trips and falls often and is uncoordinated?
  • Why does my child walk on their toes all the time?

If so, a Physical Therapy Evaluation may be beneficial.

Pediatric Physical Therapy is like a fun workout designed just for kids!

It helps children build strength, balance, and coordination through playful exercises and activities. Whether they’re learning to walk, jump, or throw, a therapist makes sure every session feel like play, boosting their confidence and making movement enjoyable.

Our goal is to provide pediatric physical therapy services that are fun and engaging in a pediatric environment for babies, children, and teens with developmental, orthopedic, congenital, and neurological impairments.  We feel it is important to foster a relationship with parents to promote carryover of goals in the home and community.  We take a multi-disciplinary team and caregiver education approach to ensure we are helping the whole child, and to improve each child’s ability to move, play, explore, and learn.

Pediatric Physical Therapy Helps With:

  • Torticollis/Head Shape

Neck tilts to one side, poor neck flexibility and muscle strength.

  • Chronic Pain

Pain lasting more than 3 months causing limitations in mobility and strength.

  • Delayed Gross Motor Skill Acquisition

Issues with essential movements such as sitting, crawling, or walking.

  • Motor Control Difficulties

Poor balance, coordination, or difficulty motor planning.

  • Poor Postural Control

Issues with balance, core strength, alignment, and coordination.

  • Gait Abnormalities

    Including toe walking and in-toeing.

  • Clumsiness

Frequent falls, tripping, running into objects.

  • Muscle Weakness or Tightness

Limited ability to move, play, and participate in daily activities.

Did you know…?

  • Early intervention is key, a child’s brain is most adaptable during the first three years of life, making this an ideal time for intervention.
  • Crawling boosts gross and fine motor skills (large and refined movements), balance, hand-eye-coordination and overall strength
  • Torticollis can impact an infant’s development of vision, hearing, sensory processing, feeding, and fine and gross motor skills.
  • Kids who struggle with coordination are at higher risk for bullying, depression, and anxiety as teenagers. Physical therapy intervention can provide a better foundation to be successful in their teenage years.
